COMMUNE. SUPPER CULT LAUNCHES
June 30, 2014 (For Immediate Release) Contact: Rebecca Burke
Charleston, SC – Cory Burke of Roti Rolls, Becky Burke of Slow Food Charleston, and the team at local marketing agency Fork & Knife, are excited to unveil a community dining experience appropriately named Commune. Commune. is a series of monthly on-‐site dinners giving guests an insider’s look at a local coffee roaster and various breweries, farms, and fishing docks. The goal of these dinners is to bring awareness to the amazing work being done in our community while filling bellies with locally grown ingredients prepared by some of Charleston’s best Chefs.
Each family-‐style dinner will focus on one purveyor and incorporate their wares into each of the dinner’s four courses. Pairing up two local guest chefs, each course will not only highlight the specific purveyor, but also include both a carnivorous andvegetarian dish composed of local ingredients to share.
The first Commune. dinner will take place on July 17, 2014 from 6:30-‐9pm at CUP Coffee Roasters (339 B-‐1 Fleming Rd., James Island, SC 29412) and feature chefs Alex Lira of The Lot and Cory Burke of Roti Rolls. Guests will also be given tours of the local coffee roastery and have the opportunity to learn more about CUP’s coffee featured on the menu.
While still adding dates, chefs and purveyors, the current line up for future Commune. dinners includes:
- August 20, 2014 at Westbrook Brewery (510 Ridge Rd, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464 featuring Chef Jacques Larson of The Obstinate Daughter & Wild Olive
